About the job

We are looking for an Enterprise Business Development Manager with experience in enterprise SaaS software solutions for (sustainable) supply chain management.

Circularise partners with some of the world’s largest companies within manufacturing supply chains. We work with material producers, component & product manufacturers to global brands and end-of-life recovery actors to transform how complex supply chains can use data to become more sustainable and circular.

The enterprise business development manager is directly accountable for revenue generation. You will be responsible for identifying new customers and executing on go-to-market strategies to close new business and consistently deliver on revenue targets.

The ideal candidate will possess both the Enterprise Business Development experience and knowledge of sustainable supply chains to drive engagement and consultation within C-Suite negotiations. As such, this position requires a working knowledge and understanding of Circular Economy and Sustainable Supply Chain drivers and barriers. You will be required to translate these into customer specific value proportions. An affinity with and understanding of digital transformation and specifically blockchain is also desirable.

  • Achieve sales growth by developing positive relationships with clients, gaining a detailed understanding of their requirements, challenges, and strategic direction.
  • Create and clearly articulate value propositions to meet customer needs and demonstrate the value of blockchain enabled traceability systems for sustainable supply chain management.
  • Effectively negotiate and close new business opportunities to deliver growth in both sales and gross margin.
  • Establish, grow and maintain connections to all decision making departments.
  • Gather meaningful & available data about customers’ needs, pain points, resources, budgets, digital technology and sustainable supply chain innovation strategy.
  • Keep regular contacts with customer to ensure satisfaction before and after execution.
  • Keep the company’s CRM system up-to-date to ensure all account, contact and project information is accurate, visible and reportable.
  • Facilitate initial technical discussions with customers to influence and develop detailed project or service specifications to implement Circularise’s SaaS services.
  • Create and support smooth hand-over to Account and Project Managers to maintain seamless customer connections at all required levels of the customer’s organisation (including C-Level, innovation, IT, purchasing department, sustainability ...).
  • 5-7 years of demonstrable experience within enterprise SaaS sales, negotiation and closing accounts in roles such as Account Manager, Sales Consultant or Relationship Manager; preferably within a complex multi-actor supply chain context.
  • Proven track record of engaging key target customers within a consultative-selling approach at C-level to develop winning proposals that meet customer specifications, displace competition and win new business.
  • Ability to understand and apply industry/market knowledge (macro drivers, significant trends, strategic direction) in client communication and dialogue.
  • Strong communication (written and spoken) in English; other languages are a bonus (especially German or Japanese).
  • Impeccable organisational, customer engagement and cultural sensitivity skills.
  • Work permit for the EU.

  • You are honest, driven, and passionate about getting results that help people and advances sustainable and circular economy supply chain transformation.
  • Someone with a global mindset who has the ability to engage with professional teams based throughout the world.
  • An expert communicator (written and spoken) who thrives on complexity but has the ability to simplify.
  • Willing and have the ability to travel both locally and internationally.
