Thinking about joining Circularise in the Integration Lead role? Great! Before deciding to apply, you might want to know a bit more about our team and mission, and why integrations matter to us so deeply. Here’s what your future team members, Laura Corredor and Nabil Ahmed said about it!

Your integration knowledge: why is it so valuable to our team?

First, meet Laura 👋 She is an integral part of the Circularise team. With a Chemical Engineer background, working with us as a Project Manager, she has a deep understanding of the circular economy and sustainability.

“There are two main topics about why our software and integrating with it is so valuable for our customers. One is alignment with regulatory sustainability requirements in the EU, for example. Another reason is having visibility to actually take informed decisions to achieve sustainability targets”, Laura describes.

Recyclability and the circulation of materials, and quality data to make informative decisions – those are the two reasons why our customers mainly use Circularise’s products. In general, our solutions are  industry and value chain agnostic, right now we work with enterprises in the chemical space: material suppliers, product suppliers and vendors – everything specific to the automotive industry, batteries, polymers.

And how would you, as the Integration expert, work together with Laura?

Laura is the bridge between our own software test laboratory and the real-world use cases. Working like a technical customer success manager, she's the closest contact to our customers, often being one of the first faces they see from our team. Laura facilitates workshops and pilots when testing our technology, helping to train people and checking on their progress.

“Then, there comes a time when we want to create a real-world use case out of the ideas we have come up with together with the customers. Here’s where you would step in as the integration expert: to help us to come out of the test laboratory – out into the world!” says Laura.

On Circularise’s upcoming scale up process, the next steps will be tests and pilots with numerous new customers – and integrating our software with the customers’ systems, such as ERPs. Integrations are a crucial part of our customer success strategy to let our customers use our products at scale.

“What we’re really looking forward to is having someone bring experienced knowledge to our team from integrations, and translate our customers’ tech teams’ needs into correct requirements for our team. For us, hands-on knowledge of having done integrations is the most valuable, or even SaaS type of integrations towards inventory systems of chemical companies. We really look forward to learning from you”, says Laura.

“We really look forward to learning from you.”

At this point, you will be the first person to add integration expertise to our team. (That’s why we’re, like, REALLY looking forward to having you on the team!)

“Speaking with customers and our tech team, you will be the one that actually enables our customers to use our software at scale”, Laura says.

Integrations in general: why do our customers benefit from them?

Our vision is to create a sustainable way to circulate materials with a greater traceability, and to facilitate that with our software.

We are able to provide a way for companies to trace materials along the supply chain, and share the data with their key stakeholders in a secure, private way. By doing this, we are improving the trust and traceability of materials in the supply chain.

Laura (and you, too!) works closely together with Nabil to capture the pains of customers' supply chains such as traceability, data exchange, sustainability and data privacy. Nabil works as the Product Manager of our Digital Product Passport Solution.

Nabil studied in India and has a Master’s degree from the Netherlands. Before joining us at Circularise, he worked for tech companies in many countries, from building products from scratch to measuring impact and analysis. Now at Circularise he focuses his career on sustainability and the circular economy.

“Our mission is to accelerate the world’s transition to a circular economy. We do this by enabling scalable and confidential information flows in value chains. Lack of information flows makes it impossible to have a full circular economy. And without system & data integrations we will continue to have silos”, Nabil sees.

“As a Product Manager, I will work very closely with you, the Integration expert”, says Nabil.

“The tech team is expecting knowledge from you related to data lakes, data structures, mapping data, and how to integrate with systems like ERP. You don’t need to hand-code but we look forward to learning from you more about how different data points are pulled from customers' versatile systems to our system”, Nabil says.

Together with you, Nabil works in the interface where the customer's IT team and our tech team meets, and also listens to the signals from the market. He is responsible for the product strategy and ensuring the Digital Product Passport solution provides value for customers. He also answers from the tech side to your expectations as the integration expert.

“Sometimes the answer has been to build middleware solutions, so we can integrate with, for example, Snowflake. I will listen to the important signals from the market and check their feasibility with the integration expert and consider them in the product roadmap”, Nabil says.

“Creating an impact is the thing you’re looking for!”

For our employees, our mission also provides many appealing challenges: we’re not only a SaaS company, but you can also gain understanding of how regular SaaS connects to the crypto world.

Nabil, where do you think our dream team member, the integration expert is at the moment, and why would they love to join us?

“You might be working at a consultancy where you have worked on ERP like SAP integrations but stuck in one project for a very long time, and want to make an impact. Or you’re working in a big company with B2B enterprise integrations. You might feel stuck with slowness, and want to get to a faster pace. Creating an impact is the thing you’re looking for!” Nabil thinks.
