There is no single DPP deadline covering all electronics and appliances. The ESPR Working Plan schedules horizontal repairability measures for adoption in 2027 and measures on recycled content and recyclability of electrical and electronic equipment for 2029. Product-specific rules will determine the relevant scope, information and timing. Companies can already connect the supplier and component evidence needed for existing requirements and future passports.
No. From 18 February 2027, battery passports are required for EV batteries, LMT batteries and industrial batteries with a capacity above 2 kWh. Portable batteries commonly used in electronics and appliances are outside that passport scope, but are covered by battery QR-code requirements from the same date. Connect the relevant battery information to the finished product, while assessing removal, replacement and other obligations separately.
