We are looking for a highly skilled software engineer who is comfortable with both front and back-end programming, using Typescript, Next.js, and NodeJS. Full-stack software engineers work on cutting-edge features, constantly improving and developing our supply chain traceability, mass balance, and digital product passport platform.

Circularise is a fast-paced startup in a dynamic industry, our full-stack software engineers are required to deliver features from conception to final product, requiring good communication skills, organisation, and attention to detail.

We believe that end-to-end traceability holds the key to overcoming major challenges that society faces in areas such as the circular economy, environmental pollution, and carbon emissions. Therefore, it’s our mission to bring traceability to global supply chains and to accelerate the world's transition to a circular economy.

Circularise is disrupting industries by changing how companies trace their source materials and final products, and share information about them, enabling sustainable practices at an unprecedented level. We achieve that with artificial intelligence and a blockchain-based open protocol that enables the sharing of product and material information while preserving privacy for sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the entire team to translate business and product requirements into technical solutions 
  • Design and develop frontend and backend features (REST API endpoints, reusable React components, etc.) following good software engineering practices
  • Write testable, production-grade code, while being pragmatic and shipping fast
  • Experience with SQL, relational databases, and database normalisation
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices

Requirements

  • Advanced TypeScript skills, including proper typing and interfaces
  • Experience with MySQL database design
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles
  • Experience with version control systems (Git)
  • Understanding of web application security best practices
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and excited to work in a fast-moving, constantly evolving environment.
  • You enjoy using LLMs to increase the speed of delivery without sacrificing quality or stability
  • Based in the Netherlands or EU
