Company Description

The IT Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of internal IT systems, security, compliance, and service delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Compliance & Cybersecurity: Ensure ongoing ISO27001 compliance, lead SOC1 readiness, uphold GDPR standards, and manage risk assessments.
  • Incident Preparation and Response: Setup and lead a cross-department task force that is able to respond to any IT/security crisis at any time.
  • IT Service Management: Own and optimize ITSM processes including incident, problem, and change management. Maintain uptime and system performance through proactive monitoring and automation.
  • Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and deliver IT projects (e.g., system migrations, tool rollouts), aligning with business teams and timelines.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a key IT partner to departments like Finance, HR, Engineering, and Sales, ensuring IT supports broader business objectives.
  • Vendor & Budget Management: Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage a ~€300K IT budget, ensuring transparency and cost-efficiency.
  • Security Questionnaires (RFQs): Lead the response process for IT/security questionnaires from clients, showcasing compliance and influencing purchasing decisions.
  • System Administration: Oversee infrastructure (cloud, servers, endpoints, networks), enforce security standards, and ensure business continuity.
  • Innovation & Strategy: Track IT trends, contribute to long-term strategy, and drive process improvements and automation.
  • IT Facilities & Support: Provide hands-on support for workplace technology, handle onboarding/offboarding, and manage ad hoc IT needs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience or track record in IT management and optimization
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of aligning teams
  • Proactive self-starter and adaptable
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field
  • Fluency in English. Other languages are a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
