The Hague, 10 November 2026: Circularise, the Netherlands-based traceability software company, has joined the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) as a General Supporter member. Circularise joined to bring its work on supply chain traceability and mass balance bookkeeping to the aluminium value chain, and to take part in ASI's standards work on chain of custody.
ASI, incorporated in 2015, is a not-for-profit standards-setting and certification organisation for the aluminium value chain, from bauxite mining through to use and recycling. Its certification programme has two standards, the ASI Performance Standard and the ASI Chain of Custody Standard. The General Supporter class covers organisations that support ASI's mission, such as technology providers and supply chain platforms.
ASI's Chain of Custody Standard works on a mass balance model. Certified companies can mix ASI material with other material at any point in the chain, but each one keeps a material accounting system that records what comes in and caps what it sells as ASI material at a proportionate amount over a set period. Circularise builds software for this kind of record-keeping. Its platform already automates mass balance bookkeeping for the ISCC PLUS and ISCC EU certification schemes, and its patented technology lets suppliers share product data without exposing commercially sensitive information.

As a General Supporter member, Circularise can join ASI's working groups, where members bring their perspectives and expertise to ASI's standards and certification programme.
