Circularise selected as top 5 finalist in DPI for People and Planet Innovation Challenge, held in official partnership with COP30 Presidency

THE HAGUE, 19 November 2025 – Circularise has been selected as one of five finalists from over 540 global applicants for the DPI for People and Planet Innovation Challenge, held in official partnership with the COP30 Presidency. The initiative is backed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Centre for Digital Public Infrastructure (CDPI), and Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

The advancement validates Circularise's approach to solving a fundamental barrier to climate progress: unverified data flowing through global supply chains. Today, companies cannot easily verify the origin, composition, compliance data, or environmental impact of materials and products, making it difficult for regulators, investors, and consumers to distinguish substantiated facts from unsubstantiated claims. This verification gap undermines climate action and responsible consumption efforts at a time when measurable outcomes are more critical than ever.

With COP30 convening global climate leaders, the timing underscores the critical need for trustworthy verification infrastructure as nations commit to measurable climate targets.

Circularise, as a key technical service provider, supported the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) and the One Planet Network in the development and launch of the Global Circularity Protocol for Business (GCP) at COP30. The GCP provides the first globally harmonised protocol for measuring and reporting circularity performance, but its full potential relies on the ability of supply chains to deliver reliable, comparable, and verifiable data. Circularise plays a central role in making that data infrastructure actionable for companies and investors alike.

"The sustainable economy requires verified data infrastructure, not unverified promises," said Jordi de Vos, Founder of Circularise. "We are building the verification backbone that transforms unverified supply chain data into auditable facts. In the DPI challenge, we'll prove this works with organisations ranging from mining cooperatives to multinational manufacturers."

Circularise's selection carries particular significance in Japan. The company operates from offices in The Hague and Tokyo, with engagement from leading Japanese manufacturers including Asahi Kasei, Teijin, Sekisui, and Mitsubishi Chemical. This positions Circularise to drive verification adoption across the region's manufacturing base during a critical moment in global supply chain restructuring.
