ーOn May 22, 2025, Circularise Co-Founder Jordi de Vos joined the Japan–Netherlands High-Tech DX Symposium held in Osaka, where he represented the company in multiple high level engagements. His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Mr. Dirk Beljaarts, Minister of Economic Affairs were in attendance as part of their official visit to the Osaka–Kansai Expo.

The event, co-hosted by the Embassy of the Netherlands and leading industry organizations from both countries, served as a platform for innovation and cross-border collaboration in high-tech and deep-tech fields. Netherlands-Japan-HTDX-Conference-2025 Official website

A Royal Visit to the Circularise Booth

Prior to the official program, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander visited the Circularise booth. Jordi de Vos presented Circularise’s vision for a circular economy and introduced the company's digital product passport platform. His Majesty engaged attentively with the presentation, offering words of encouragement.

MOU Signed Between Circularise Japan and Marubeni Corporation

During the symposium, Circularise Japan and its long-standing partner Marubeni Corporation signed a MOU in the presence of the King and the Ministers. This agreement reinforces the companies’ joint commitment to expanding Circularise’s platform across Japan and Asia.

Since forming a strategic partnership in 2021, Circularise and Marubeni have collaborated on pilot projects and market research. The new MOU marks a strengthened partnership aimed at accelerating digital transparency and circularity across supply chains in the region.

Sharing a Vision for the Future: HTDX Showcase Panel

Jordi de Vos also participated in the session "Society 5.0: Cutting-Edge HTDX Use Cases in Emerging Markets", joined by Mr. Ryu Takaki of Deloitte Tohmatsu Consulting.

The session explored how government, research institutions, and private sector leaders are working to shape society 15 to 20 years into the future through breakthrough technologies. Jordi introduced Circularise’s approach to product traceability and digital product passports, highlighting how these innovations contribute to building a more transparent and sustainable global economy.

The importance of building trust and ensuring data sovereignty across different data spaces was also discussed, along with the need to maintain the confidentiality and verifiability of the data itself.
